The making of 'a note of love'

The making of 'a note of love' part 1- introduction

Making the film 'a note of love' was often times fun and in itself a story to share. Here in a two part video, share our journey to making the film in PJ old town and Penang.

The making of 'a note of love' part 2- acting and creating the scene

While the first part of the making of serves as an introduction to the project, this second part details the troubles it took to shoot what is seemingly ordinary life. From trying to shoot around the busy hustle and bustle of a malaysian wet market to closing a street and having your friendly neighbourhood firemen create rain, the challenges to bringing the film to life are detailed here along with interviews with the first time cast members on what acting and being in front of the camera is like.

Here's hoping these videos enrich your experience of the film knowing the backstory behind it.Here's also hoping it inspires you to make your own film...even if it's a little mobilefilm made on your handphone....do it!

Part 3 of the making of about Zubir's participation on the film is also available below...

honestly, i love it.
i got so excited seeing shots that were familiar, eugene's cheeky grin, van's pretty hair, the kaya-man...

only one thing, my eyes teared up at the thought of not being there to watch it.
sigh.

Hi Linus. Just a couple of technical questions. Were you the director, DOP, and cameraman for the production? Also, was wondering what made you decide to choose Cinealta for the camera? Are you planning to produce any more films in the near future?

Hi Chun,

I was the DOP and director and yes camera operator...I decided to choose the Cinealta camera because I wanted to try out HD really and it's between the cinealta and the varicam. The decision was 50/50 as both cameras has it's pros and cons but my reason to go with the Cinealta was as silly as it was used both by George Lucas and James Cameron...regards
